It’s always a good day when a Steven post drops and we can gush over the performance of The Mis

Thoughts on Zebby’s start today?

Looked pretty nice, I caught several innings live. That was the sort of command that was billed last year lol! Only went to a 3 ball count one time (the lone walk to start the 7th). He mixed everything up pretty well, wasn't overwhelming, but solid. The zone plots weren't stellar or anything, but he kept them pretty off balance with his 5 pitch mix. Whiffs on everything except the cutter. FA sat 95 mph. He's not going to be a world beater, but we will take this sort of effectiveness. I said last week I thought he was a good spec grab and I am glad I did in several spots where my depth is depleted. He has a little rope and some confidence now.

hey steve what kind of dynasty asset would you consider sproat?

he just hit my waiver wire (12tm roto 5x5 dynasty) - i don't really have room and i wouldnt need him this season, but i can make room if necessary

i would hate to let a good SP asset get snatched up just because i don't need him at the moment

He's a really nice dynasty asset, one that should be rostered in nearly every type of dynasty and/or fairly deep keeper setup. He has the sort of age, pedigree and stuff to be a legit #2 type of SP and only gets extra points for the org in charge of bringing it together. He's a top 50 type SP in dynasty imo, just have to be patient as the command hones, but he has a great athletic base for it to eventually work well. IF you can find the room, he should be an asset for this season--and/or solid trade capital.

Any thoughts on Noah Schultz lately? Last two starts gave up 7 and 3 runs in less than 5 innings. Is the book out on him? Still have Zebby and Sproat out there but tried last week but added Ben Brown as the first priority. Happy with Brown. Hopefully my pitching turnaround in my deep limited moves league is starting this week either way.

It's been a struggle frame getting Schultz and it's coming from a sudden lack of command. You have to assume this with these guys that are finishing their development in the majors, but esp young lefties. There has still been great flashes, even in his last turn, he sent the first 9 of the game down in order. I think he's worth trying to ride this out with, a two step is coming next week @SEA/@SF...Sproat and Brown are trending right in his neighborhood of the ranks (should he be adjusted back slightly). They are both further along right now. Zebby will be back a little further than them in the ranks, but looked much better yesterday. Readers know I've long been a fan of him, so I am back onboard. Nothing (almost) is linear when it comes to these young guys, but patience is rewarded!
